Currently all the troops we have been sending to (with the exception of the American Red Cross bases in the MiddleEast) have returned from deployment.

As troops are deployed overseas and added to the packing list for A Touch of Home, boxes are prepared to give our brave men and women "a touch of home" through donations of baked goods, personal items, snacks, socks, appropriate magazines or books, etc.

NOTE FROM ONE OF OUR TROOPS:
I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and the church for the support and the care packages that you have sent.  I received the care packages and opened them to my Junior Marines, they as well thank you for the packages. Everything that is received out here is shared amongst everyone depending on their needs. Just...wanted to write and give you, your family, and the people of the church a special thank you for the packages and the support. So thank you, God Bless, and take care. I have attached a picture of myself and the Marines under my charge. I am on the far left end.

NOTES FROM A SOLDIER:
November 2015
To Whom This May Concern, I Am An Active Duty Soldier In The United States Army. I Am Currently Deployed In Taji, Iraq. I Recently Received A Heart Warming and Very Appreciated Care Package From (ATOH) A Touch of Home Program. I Am Writing To Say Thank You To All The Members. I Also Would Like To Tell Them That Even If They Don't Hear Back From Soldiers Like Myself. Their Packages Bring a Feeling To Soldiers That Warms Their Heart Deeply During The Difficult Times and Events That We Encounter Out Here.
Thanks, Sgt. Coleman, Sean (Operation Inherent Resolve) Taji, Iraq

This is John Miller. You guys at A Touch of Home are absolute Angels. The thought you all put in the packages that you send mean a lot to me. I’ve been meaning to write you for awhile but times have been busy. I first started receiving packages about 2 years ago while I was in Afghanistan.  Let’s just say I looked forward to that little touch of home that you guys provided more than once a month. Sometimes I broke down and cried during that year in Afghanistan when I would read everyone's letters that came in those packages, they were just so meaningful and it was absolutely wonderful to know that all of you were, and still, are thinking of me while I was deployed (I’m Japan now). Though I may not know all of you that are a part of this wonderful group it truly means a TON to me that you are all thinking about me daily and including me in your prayers. Not a lot of people still support the military but it is good to know that you guys do all you can for the service members that you and others know. I’m sure it means as much to them as it does to me. Keep up the wonderful work.
